    POSTION: Sr. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

    FLSA DESIGNATION: NON-EXEMPT

    POSITION REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF IT

    SALARY RATE: $90,000/ YEAR

    POSITION PURPOSE:

    The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for handling day-to-day information technology (IT) operations for the organization. They are in charge of assisting system administrators with providing systems support for end users. They complete support tasks for hardware devices and software packages, help with installation setups, and revise existing documentation guidelines. Other main functions include providing training for teams in other departments, answering technology questions as needed, completing administrative tasks when required, and filling out documentation when requesting new inventory. The Senior Systems Administrator will work on removing security threats and malware from company systems, as well as trace network failures and research possible solutions. They assist other systems staff when deploying new software and upgrade installations, complete regular backups and perform data recovery, assist in workstation life cycle rotations, monitor servers, work with other administrators to minimize downtime, and prevent data corruption. They also provide remote support and escalate issues to supervisors as needed. When handling financial or identity data, administrators must follow specific company procedures.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

    • Administer and maintain systems support for software, workstations and servers: test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all problems.
    • Provide timely technical support for users and work with them to solve existing problems.
    • Configure, monitor and maintain updated virus protection software, and backup data for emergency recovery.

    OTHER:

    • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
    • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
    • Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Cipriani rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities. Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

    SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

    In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:

    • To maintain a good and effective industrial relations climate with Cipriani management and show a willingness to support any necessary change development of the services' provided.
    • To protect restaurants and diners by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
    • Excellent computer skills, especially typing.
    • Must be able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Pay close attention to detail and have strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Troubleshoots computer hardware and software issues.
    • Install hardware devices on computer.
    • Knowledge of Hybrid Cloud/On-Prem Exchange email system.
    • Administrator Windows 2019 servers.
    • Understanding of SonicWall and Meraki Firewalls.
    • Must have strong familiarity with the Office 365 Admin Dashboard and Licensing
    • Segmenting networks with switches and WAPs
    • Project Management from start to completion.
    • Must feel comfortable giving presentations to groups.
    • Barracuda Full Suite knowledge
    • Low voltage cabling knowledge
    • Creating, maintaining and configuring users, groups and GPO's though Active Directory and Azure AD.
    • Familiarity with MICROS Simphony, Toast, and Square POS systems a plus
    • Must have functional strong knowledge of all Office 2019, O365 Applications i.e Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Helpdesk team ticketing management, prioritizing and delegation.
    • Ability to provide excellent white glove on-field, over-the-phone, and remote support a must.
    • Extensive knowledge of Mac OS in a hybrid Mac/Windows environment a must.
    • Travel to multiple locations within NYC and NJ.
    • Ability to lift to 75lbs objects.
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
    • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Must have prior management experience managing a small team of technicians.
    • Prior IT 7 years' experience necessary.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

    • Most work tasks are performed indoors outdoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by facility environmental systems.
    • Must be able to sit and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
    • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the property on a timely basis.
    • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
    • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
    • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
    • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
    • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

    QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

    Experience Required: Proven work experience in the information technology field.

    Licenses or Certificates: Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.

    Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Company standards.
