    Job Overview:

    The Senior Network Architect will design, develop, and maintain functional and secure networks. He/She will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimizing our networks for end users and network-based services.

    The Senior Network Architect must have excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough knowledge of network administration, architecture, and data security.

    The Senior Network Engineers goal will be to establish and maintain networks that cater to B&Hs business and customer needs.

    Responsibilities:

    + Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)

    + Configure and install software, servers, routers, firewalls, Load Balancers, Wi-Fi controllers and other network devices

    + Monitor network performance and integrity.

    + Resolve tier 3 support issues.

    + Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.

    + Mentor team members on technical issues

    + Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

    + Communicate with users when needed.

    + Maintain complete technical documentation.

    + Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.

    + Coordinating scheduled upgrades

    Requirements and skills:

    + Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer

    + Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP)

    + Solid background in network administration and architecture

    + In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)

    + Familiarity with access control models and network security

    + Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl)

    + Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)

    + Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)

    + Excellent troubleshooting skills

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Ability to work independently.

    + An ability to learn new technologies quickly.

    + An ability to follow processes.

    + Ability to create complex Visio diagrams.

    + Organizational and mentoring skills
