- Manage corporate contracts within your assigned commodity group.
- Interact extensively within UMMS and with suppliers.
- Lead contract negotiations and provide consultative services.
- Ensure compliance, competitiveness, and cost-cutting in contracts.
- Assist in expense reporting and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Contribute to meetings and team projects as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of purchasing and contracting experience.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
- Strong supervisory and communication skills.
- Proven experience in complex contract negotiations.

This position is ideal for those with Project Management experience.
The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) provides care to over a million patients yearly, encompassing a team of 29,000 employees and 4,600 providers. In this role, you will follow a hybrid work model with occasional in-office presence at our Linthicum location.
General Summary
As a leader in managing medical and surgical contracts, you will oversee negotiations, implement purchase agreements, and ensure quality and cost control. You'll supervise contract specialists and provide insightful management reports.
5+ years of healthcare contract experience is preferred.
