The CalSTRS Procurement Management Division is seeking four experienced individuals to work as Associate Governmental Program Analyst's in the Business Solutions Unit.


  • The Procurement Management Division serves as a collaborative conduit between the vendor community and CalSTRS business areas to secure competitive pricing from the most qualified providers to transparently fulfill the needs of our customers. We endeavor to provide excellent customer service through teamwork, system expertise and support.
  • Under direction of the Business Solutions Module Leader (Staff Services Manager I), the incumbent operates as the Procurement Business Analyst and performs the more responsible, varied complex work on a wide variety of consultative and analytical assignments for project management, gap analysis, and process documentation. The incumbent is expected to perform duties requiring a high degree of independence, flexibility, and tact.
  • Demonstrated experience or ability to handle multiple assignments and work effectively under

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, draw sound conclusions, and make clear and concise recommendations
  • Exhibits professional demeanor, and the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations
  • Knowledge of CalSTRS business processes, technical environment or pension/financial systems
  • Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
  • Please note that this is a limitedterm position with the possibility of being extended up to 24 months or becoming permanent.

Telework Information:We offer a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 2-3 days per week.

Background Investigation
Prior to employment with CalSTRS, a background investigation (BI) will be conducted. The BI consists of a _Personal History Statement_ and fingerprinting through the Department of Justice. The BI will check criminal and civil records and, if applicable, verify education and check driving records.
