    Come join our rapidly growing Pelvic Health (PH) Upstream Marketing Team. We are hiring a driven and enthusiastic Global Strategy & Planning Associate to work in a fast-paced Upstream Marketing Team. This role will be focused on supporting the development and execution of long-range objectives and strategic plans of the PH therapy portfolio. This role will report to the Marketing Manager of Global Strategy, Growth and Portfolio Development.

    You will collaborate with a team of upstream marketers and global cross functional partners to identify internal and external strategic signals that could affect growth and profitability. In this role you will help shape the Pelvic Health Operating Unit (PH OU) strategic goals to unlock growth potential, analyze the direct and adjacent competition, monitor the external environment for business opportunities and deliver clear and succinct financial analyses which support recommendations to implement strategic and operational plans. This role will also be responsible for planning and coordinating business reviews with a focus on executing and advancing the PH OU growth pipeline and long-term strategy.

    In this role, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with partners in global sales and marketing, health economics & reimbursement, finance, as well as other cross-functional experts across the PH OU to continue to expand the Medtronic global footprint and Medtronics portfolio of products. This role is highly visible to the PH OU senior leadership and global physician thought leaders.

    This role is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has a hybrid work schedule. This role may be eligible for remote work for highly qualified candidates outside of the Minneapolis area.

    A Day in the Life

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

    • Building deep expertise in current and adjacent disease states relevant to pelvic health as well as therapies related to the Pelvic Health Operating Units core technologies.
    • Understanding the direct and indirect competitive landscape including accessing the threat of newly generated clinical evidence data, recent technological advancements, and changing market dynamics which could impact the PH performance and growth.
    • Generating opportunity assessments for business development activities and evaluating strategic targets through detailed quantitative and qualitative market modeling.
    • Preparing presentations and supporting materials to align Medtronic executive leaders with the PH OU pipeline strategy, supporting core team phase reviews, and facilitating the annual PH strategic planning process.
    • Identifying areas for operational excellence and process improvement within the PH marketing team to drive efficiency and consistency.
    • Analyzing and summarizing key customer needs through: Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Business (VOB) research which may include passive engagement with key opinion leaders, current and potential customers, and internal stakeholders via advisory boards, industry conferences, one-on-one engagements, and third-party market research.
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and key opinion leaders.
    • Developing relationships with sales personnel to understand their perspectives, their needs and their ideas to inform PH strategy and program requirements.
    • Ability to travel up to 10% of time.

    Must Have: Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelors degree required
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

    Nice to Have

    • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Health Care Management or a related field; Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Health Administration
    • Experience in consulting, medical device or healthcare adjacent industry.
    • Experience with project management and leading cross-functional teams.
    • Strategy and business development experience including portfolio and product planning.
    • Experience interfacing with health care providers both individually and in working group settings.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skillset.

    The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
