    About the Role

    The Manager of Training at Cara Collective oversees the training team and actively supports the enterprise in effectively achieving our mission. The Training Team is responsible for delivering both personal (social, emotional, and professional) training while collaborating with external training sources to increase participant learning and interviewing skills.

    The Manager of Training currently supervises two Training Specialists. With hopes of adding another by the next fiscal year.

    Outcomes

    The Training Team is responsible for creating, delivering, and managing training that prepares Cara Collective participants for career opportunities and socio-emotional development. The Training Team creates and manages the implementation of dynamic curriculum that is both transformative and rooted in useful workplace competency methods while addressing the barriers of participants from diverse segments of society and across any and all Cara Collective pathways.

    Responsibilities

    Participant Engagement & Participant Trainings (60%)

    • Develop and facilitate curriculum for Cara Core programming workshops that focus on 5 workplace competencies and social emotional learning.
    • Consistently assess the effectiveness of curriculum, foster innovation and implement best practices into facilitation.
    • Ensures participants adherence to Cara Collectives classroom standards; delivers write-ups and communicates with other departments to ensure learning and growth of the individual.
    • Responsible for accomplishing participant Point of Traction goals and that they are met across the enterprise.
    • Responsible for overall participant management and documentation in salesforce including assignment accountability, productivity, attendance, capacity, development opportunities and flow throughout the facility.
    • Creates and implements training that promotes participants send-out eligibility (SOE) based on observation of teamwork, communication, time management, conflict management and professionalism.
    • Incorporate workplace competency concepts through classroom training and experiential learning, throughout our enterprise.
    • Manages effective execution on any training carrying the Cara Collective brand.

    Leadership (40%)

    • Supervises the Training Specialists.
    • Plans, manages, and coordinates the activities of department personnel responsible for designing training solutions that bridge skill gaps in work procedures and performance and professional development.
    • Maintains knowledge of training development, instructional design, and adult learning environments.
    • Function as a member of the Enterprise leadership teams.
    • Meet regularly with team members to identify priorities, discuss strategies, and review ongoing projects.
    • Track progress towards goals and make mid-course adjustments as necessary.
    • Provide professional development opportunities and guidance to team members to help strengthen their skill sets and job satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    • H.S diploma or equivalent (B.S preferred)
    • 2 + more years of experience providing group instruction or in delivering curriculum.
    • High energy and ability to engage others towards a common goal.
    • Strong work ethic and business acumen with ability to excel in a fast-paced and Collaborative environment.
    • Experience working directly with an economically disadvantaged populations.
    • High energy in tandem with a dynamic presentation that will engage others towards a common goal.
