About GRO Community:


God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach.

Purpose of Position:
The Training Manager will be responsible for developing learning strategies within the agency.

The training manager will be of support to the Chief Learning Manager in assessing the skills, performance, productivity, and talents of GRO Community's employees.



A successful training manager will understand the organization's operations and decision-making processes with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results by creating an effective and efficient workforce. The Training Manager will be innovative, a strong decision-maker and outstanding facilitator of learning and change.

Essential Functions:

Develop training manuals that target tangible results.

Effectively manage the training budget.

Search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among staff.

Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.

Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities.

Manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training.

Manage the technologies required to develop, manage, and deliver training.

Keep abreast of training trends, developments, and best practices.

Researching of new training supplies and materials that can enhance training procedures while providing value to employees.

Identify future training needs and create a curriculum to facilitate that training.

Lead programs to assist employees with transitions due to technological changes, acquisitions and mergers.

Communicating with management and team members to ensure that all needs are met.

Supporting the CLO with setting up executive or leadership development programs for lower-level employees.
-
Conducting and arranging on-the-job training for new hires.
-
Resolving any specific problems and tailoring training programs as necessary.

Expected Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday/40 hours per week


Travel:
Must have access to reliable transportation to GRO Community and community sites


Qualifications:


Required Education:

-
Minimum of bachelor's degree
-
Master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or criminal justice preferred.

Experience:

-
A minimum of 2 years' experience in training and development management
-
Proficiency in MS office and Google Suite
-
Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs Familiar with traditional and modern training processes.
-
Social services work experience required/preferred
