    Job Title: Food Service Manager


    Aramark Student Nutrition is dedicated to providing food and nutrition services to more than 350 school districts across the U.S. We offer a range of dining options to both public and private educational institutions, such as breakfast and lunch programs, after-school snacks, catering, nutrition education, and retail operations. Our collaboration with schools aims to create culinary experiences that inspire student success by offering healthy, nutritious meals and exceptional dining experiences for our communities.


    In this role, as the Food Service Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing dining solutions tailored to meet customer preferences and requirements. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing and managing dining operations where customers can order prepared foods from a menu.



    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead by example using Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members effectively
    • Recognize and reward employees for their contributions
    • Ensure that individual and team performance aligns with set objectives and client expectations
    • Plan and conduct daily team briefings
    • Maintain safety and sanitation standards across all operations


    Establish and nurture client relationships by identifying their needs and communicating progress on operational activities.

    • Monitor and ensure the accuracy and upkeep of P&L statements
    • Drive financial performance to meet client and company targets
    • Implement Aramark's processes and systems, analyze performance metrics and educate teams on strategies to enhance margins


    Enhance productivity through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management practices. Follow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting food and labor initiatives, ensuring the team is well-trained and capable of implementation, and supervising production, quality, and control.

    • Uphold compliance standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees
    • Adhere to all relevant policies, rules, and regulations concerning safety, health, wage, and hour protocols


    Additionally, you will lead the front of the house in the dining operation in coordination with the Food Service Director. Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a superior product to the customer.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1 year experience in a management role
    • Preferably, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maintain excellent client and customer relationships for mutually beneficial business connections
    • Exhibit outstanding customer service using Aramark's service model
    • Skills for maintaining effective working relations with other departments to provide a unified food service experience
    • Capable of occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to stand for extended periods
