YOUR TRAINING AS A WINE TECHNOLOGIST (M/F/D)Your tasks:
- You follow the path of wine and sparkling wine from the grape to the finished product in the bottle
- You assist in the quality control and assurance of our wines
- You learn about the use of modern technologies and equipment in wine production
- You participate in tastings and trainings to deepen your sensory knowledge
The Geisenheim University offers an integrated dual study program in viticulture and enology. You will spend at least 12 to 14 months in your training company before starting your first semester of study. You will follow the guidelines of the responsible vocational authorities of the respective federal state.
During your studies, you will attend the same courses as your fellow students in the viticulture and enology program who are studying regularly. In six semesters, the lecturers will teach you natural science and professional skills, always with a focus on the skills required in your future professional life.
In viticulture, for example, you will take modules in soil science, general and ecological viticulture, and phytomedicine. In enology, you will focus on process engineering, technology of wine and sparkling wine production, and sensory
