Description

The Kolping Education Center Schweinfurt offers a vocational integration support program for young people with special needs in an inclusive setting, starting from 8th grade of middle school or special education school.

BEO supports students in achieving their school diploma, career orientation and selection, as well as finding an apprenticeship. Additionally, it helps to stabilize the apprenticeship relationship.

Currently, we are implementing BEO in the Schweinfurt area at the following schools:

  • Auen Middle School
  • Bergrheinfeld Middle School
  • Pestalozzi Special Education School

The role includes:

  • As a vocational integration support worker, you will provide individual support to students with inclusive backgrounds in their transition from school to vocational training, continuously accompanying them from 8th grade until the end of their probationary period in the apprenticeship.
  • Together with the students, you will create an individual support plan, taking into account their strengths, abilities, and interests, and follow up on it through regular individual or small group meetings.
  • You will regularly assess their performance and behavior, and develop goal agreements that you will closely monitor to help the students in their development.
  • You will actively acquire internships, apprenticeships, and job opportunities.
  • Through regular contact with school staff and designated teachers, you will quickly integrate into the school environment.
  • You will maintain close contact with other partners, such as the students' parents and the Schweinfurt Employment Agency.
  • You will acquire new participants for the project
