    Job Description

Welcome to Foundry, a cryptocurrency pioneer dedicated to advancing decentralized infrastructure. At Foundry, we're not waiting for a decentralized financial future — we're building it now. By empowering institutions with the tools they need to mine and stake digital assets, we're thoughtfully driving the industry forward with our team at the center of it all.

If you thrive on innovation, are inspired by the potential of blockchain technology and are passionate about being part of transformative global changes, then we'd love to connect. At Foundry, your skills will find purpose as you contribute to shaping the architecture of a more equitable and interconnected world through blockchain technology. Come be a vital member of the Foundry team, where your contributions will help empower a decentralized future.

DESCRIPTION: The Product Designer is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry's most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Senior Product Designer, the Product Designer will help Foundry expand our mining and pool operations software products into an integrated product suite that will shape the future of Bitcoin mining. Foundry has the number one Bitcoin mining pool and is launching a new miner management software, OptiFleet. Together, these products will facilitate the success of Foundry's new business line, Site Operations

This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for creating user-centered design solutions that enhance the overall user experience of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, conceptualize design ideas, and iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results.

    • Understand User Needs:
      • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user needs, goals, and pain points.
    • Improve the user experience, accessibility and adoption of Foundry's Mining Pool and Mining Operations Software Products
      • Support the needs of internal and external users, establishing feedback systems to consistently gather user insights
      • Solve design challenges holistically, crafting complete experiences rather than just designs, and maintain a sense of curiosity about their performance post-deployment
      • Contribute to Foundry's efforts to make its mining software more robust, feature-rich and differentiated
    • Engage in the iterative design process:
      • Generate design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.
      • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, testing results, and stakeholder input, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
    • UI/IX Design:
      • Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience, considering factors such as navigation, interaction design, and visual hierarchy.
      • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and standards, including creating reusable design components and establishing design guidelines.
      • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders, to incorporate feedback and ensure successful implementation of designs.
    • Contribute to Foundry's Design System
      • Work closely with UX and Front-end engineering to expand, maintain and evangelize Foundry's design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across product development efforts.
      • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, seeking opportunities to innovate and experiment with new design approaches.

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • You've created and leveraged design systems across a multitude of applications
    • You've conducted design sprints and driven towards carefully crafted MVP Requirements
    • You have experience designing big products through small iterative releases
    • You can empathize and develop rapport with developers.
    • You are a clear writer and a compelling speaker
    • You can develop empathy for customers and make decisions based on their needs, not yours.
    • You excel at explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of data visualization and data storytelling techniques
    • Have built your own applications using frameworks like React/Vue/Svelte
