Join the vibrant health care team at the ROADS Community Clinics as a Medical Assistant and make a meaningful difference to our community's most vulnerable members. We have openings for Medical Assistants at our Compton and East Long Beach Clinics.

Position Overview:

The Medical Assistant will work as a team with providers and staff to prepare patients for examinations, assist providers in procedures and treatments, and help patients with follow up scheduling and other questions.


Qualifications:


  • MA Certificate.
  • At least 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic.
  • Thorough knowledge of patient care and examination procedures.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience with electronic health records systems.
  • Must be organized, detailoriented, and able to multitask.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare patients for examination, including taking and reporting vitals and medical history, rooming patients.
  • Checkout patients, assist with referral processing, and facilitate laboratory services.
  • Setup EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests.
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments.
  • Assist provider with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
  • Assist patients with follow up scheduling and other questions.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.

From $18.00 per hour
