    $150,000 - $165,000Position SummaryColumbia Global (CG) is a groundbreaking new initiative that aims to establish a unifying and strategic platform to promote and facilitate impactful engagement of the University's faculty, students, and alumni with the world, to enhance understanding, address global challenges, and advance knowledge and its exchange. Columbia Global aligns some of the University's key global initiatives, including the Columbia Global Centers, Columbia World Projects, and the Institute for Ideas and Imagination.

    Columbia Global seeks a Director of Global Programming who will advance the global and country-specific programswithin the Columbia Global Centers.

    The incumbentwill play an active role,with CG leadership,to develop aprogramplan as well as monitor its implementation and execution.

    The Director willoversee aspects of program design and implementation, and ensurequality control of programs and written products on behalf of the CG portfolio.

    The Director will serve as a member of themanagementteam with primary responsibility for initiating andmanagingprogram development and implementation, on a wide range ofintellectual, scholarly, research, educational, student engagement and alumniprograms throughout theglobal center platform.

    Critical to successful program planning is establishing close working relationships with the Global Center Directors and their senior programming staff.

    ResponsibilitiesOversee program planning and architecture, including managing complex program designs, varied stakeholder interests, and priorities.

    Develop and package program products such as case studies, program blueprints and impact briefs for use in engaging University faculty and leadership as well as external partnersEnsurethe effective and efficient execution of established program work plansacross theGlobalCenter portfolio, includingplannedactions, outcomes, anddeadlines.

    Monitor progress, troubleshoot problems and barriers and make recommendations to leadership for necessary adjustments to ensure successful, quality outcomes.
    Implement a system and process for program design, management, quality improvement, reporting, start-up and close-out across allGlobalCenters.

    Facilitate collaboration acrossGlobalCenters, other CG programs and University partners(faculty, departments, centers and schools)to identify, design and implement programmatic activities and priorities,inform program innovations,assessfund development potentialincluding the development of program conceptsand content for proposals, ensuring alignment with broader CG strategies and approaches, and expand and deepen programming within and across theGlobalCenters.

    Assist with the planning, management and submission of grant applicationsas well as post-awardgrant administration.

    Support revenue-generating activities, such as fundand grantdevelopment, and executive education initiativesScope, manage, and create new campus and globally-focused strategic initiatives and manage ongoing special projects for theGlobalCenters portfolio.

    Collaborating with CG's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning unit,developprogram specific and cross-program M&E frameworks and plansthat allow for the identification of drivers of programperformance and impact, creation and management of KPIs, identification of key trends and gaps, and reporting of such data.

    Partner withCGCommunicationsteamto produce a strategic communications plan and collaterals, such as website content, newsletters, and graphics.

    Work with CG's Operations team to drive the processes to identify, codify and digitize documents and ensure application to programs, support knowledge management and mapping of allGlobalCenter program activities, and use relevant technology to support program operations.

    Contribute to organization ofGlobalCenter events, such as hosting strategic visitors,centerdirector activity in NY,GlobalCenter related events, workshop and development opportunities.
    Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
    Seven to nineyears of related experience developing programsand managing complex projects, in a higher education environment, preferably Columbia University.
    Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated leadership and management skills to foster a cohesive team and promote a positive work environment. A commitment to a diverse, inclusive, equitable, and accessible work environment.

    Ability to effectively engage with a wide range ofdiverseinternal and external stakeholders, using strong interpersonal skills, persuasive presentation, and public speaking skills;Excellent writing and editing skills with proven ability to translate complex concepts into succinct, clear, accessible language for multiple audiences;Superior supervisory skills with evidence of progressively responsible leadership within organizations;Strong ability to react to time-sensitive matters, as well as manage longer term initiatives.

    Other RequirementsMust have experience in supporting research, teaching, projects and scholarlyprograms.
    Must have experience working with a wide range of disciplines from social science to medical science.
    Must have global education experienceand/or global work experience.
