Join the Global Services Go-To-Market team within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) as a GTM Specialist Solutions Architect.

    The WWSO is a division of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), focused on generating revenue, driving adoption, and fostering growth from small to mid-market accounts, as well as enterprise-level customers, including the public sector. We start from our customers' most complex problems to devise and implement go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into multi-billion-dollar enterprises.

    WWSO teams encompass business development, specialized, and technical solutions architecture. As a part of WWSO, you will offer expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of an AWS customer project, from brainstorming new services to expediting the adoption of existing businesses. We take pride in our ambitious thinking, delivering outstanding outcomes for our customers, and collaborating across AWS as a cohesive team.

    Within WWSO, this role is part of the GTM Specialist team, overseeing the technical aspects for expanding engagement with AWS HPC among Financial Services clients in North America (NAMER). We formulate sales strategies, leverage partnerships, and develop new initiatives that drive customer results. We convey crucial feedback from customers to shape our product roadmap and partner closely with our network to construct an ecosystem that supports our customers' objectives.

    In evolving sectors, we play a key role as the pioneering teams to establish markets for new services, domains, or solutions. When a customer seeks to innovate and requires a fresh approach to leverage AWS, they rely on us to innovate alongside them to create and deliver the necessary solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Represent the customer's voice; collaborate with field and central teams to relay customer feedback to product teams.
    • Lead the curation of custom features and availability requests for unique customer scenarios.
    • Offer advanced technical expertise to your aligned GTM teams to resolve customers' major business challenges.
    • Set the technical standards for specialist technical artifacts and practices along with your team.
    • Work alongside GTM colleagues to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and assist in executing local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements through field marketing.
    • Act as a thought leader by sharing best practices in forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events like AWS Summit and AWS re: Invent.
    • Guide and Support an internal community of technical experts aligned with your customers at AWS.
    • Create field enablement resources for the broader SA group to help them integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

    We are considering candidates to work from the following locations: New York, NY, USA

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
    • 5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
    • 5+ years of experience in High Performance Computing (HPC), grid computing, risk management simulations, job schedulers, batch data processing and similar workflows, rendering or seismic data processing.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Proven record of successful technical consulting and architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
    • Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
    • Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably with executives, IT Management, and developers.
    • Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.
    • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
    • Computer Science or a related degree and/or experience is highly desirable.
