    Minimum qualifications:

    Preferred qualifications:
    • Experience working on complex discovery, internet technology and patent, or general litigation (e.g., copyright, privacy, antitrust).

    • Understanding of Google applications (e.g. Google Workspace or Enterprise).

    • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage numerous cases and projects under time-sensitive deadlines.

    • Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

    • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
    Description

    As a Legal Assistant, you will contribute to the success of your Legal team, ready to participate directly to create and improve processes, maintain records, conduct legal research, and coordinate communications across the team. As you closely support your team, you may find yourself working with multiple groups within the Legal Department, internal clients across Google, and external parties.

    In this role, you will deliver full pieces of a project that are integrated into an overarching project, with minimal assistance. You'll provide support to the Legal Department on various legal and administrative matters within projects of moderate impact, risk, and complexity, managing information and documentation, conducting legal reviews, advising clients on risks and solutions, and improving processes. You will address commonly escalated issues or triage by responding promptly and thoroughly to requests from inside and outside of the Legal Department while also developing and proactively implementing recommendations and solutions outside of established procedures to solve problems of moderate complexity based on user/client feedback. You'll interact with multiple groups within the Legal Department, with internal clients across Google, and with external parties, tailoring your communications to the specific audience. You will also engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations - making Google a better place to work.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $94,500-$139,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities
    • Work alongside litigation counsel and collaborate with teams across the company including legal, product, business, and others.

    • Conduct fact-finding investigations, gather information, and identify documents/data to preserve and collect in response to discovery or internal investigations.

    • Coordinate with external legal counsel on specific assignments, review preliminary advice, and assist with providing internal recommendations.

    • Support or drive case management including managing specific workflows, task lists, status updates, timing, and overall case organization.

    • Support or drive projects related to tooling, process, or policy improvements.
