    Head of Strategy and Analysis - New York, NY, United States - Equitable

    Are you ready to join an organization that will help unlock your potential?Reporting to the President, this is a high-visibility, high-impact role that will be responsible for guiding the development and execution of business strategy across our Retirement and Wealth Management businesses.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire portfolio of Equitable's businesses
    • Propose and analyze strategic decisions impacting multiple business areas
    • Partner with business leaders to build longterm strategic direction and identify key issues
    • Partner with Chief of Staff to operationalize strategic priorities
    • Drive, oversee, and/or support multiple concurrent high priority projects
    • Lead strategic planning process in partnership with business and finance leader
    • Provide clarity by combining business judgment, technical understanding, and effective communication skills
    • Create frameworks and strategic approaches to tackle complex problems
    • Build consensus and effectively influence mid and seniorlevel stakeholders
    • Understand and stay current on competitive and technology trends
    • Partner with M&A and Finance, as appropriate, on due diligence for acquisitions and/or divestituresThe base salary range for this position is $134,000 $248,000. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and shortterm incentive compensation opportunities. This includes medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

    • Undergraduate degree. MBA preferred
    • Experience in a toptier consulting firm or competitive financial/insurance firm preferred
    • Candidates should have relevant Retirement and Wealth Management industry knowledge
    • Candidates must have strong strategic, operational, and analytical capabilities
    • Must have a demonstrated history of forwardthinking, ability to execute on multiple projects at the same time, and ability to thrive in ambiguity
    • Candidates must have the ability to build trust, challenge thinking and share wellcrafted opinions; have a strong team spirit and the ability to collaborate and influence other
    • Must have the executive presence required to present to and advise the Head of RWMP and senior leadership of Equitable Life and its businesses.
    • Identify key strategic issues, M&A and product development opportunities for senior management
    • Develop metrics measuring strategic performance
    • Manage new business development activities
    • Effectively make presentations to senior management and the Board
    • Engage in internal consulting activities
    • Support M&A or divestment transactions
    • Challenge business leaders and teams to drive shareholder value
    • Critical thinking, sound judgment, complex problem-solving and execution skills
    • In-depth internal and external research and analytics
    • Persuasive communications supported by insightful, fact-based analysis and industry expertise
    • Project management with the ability to demonstrate leadership in the sponsorship and execution of multiple, concurrent and complex business initiatives
    • Understanding of technical concepts and financial acumen e.g. Net Flows, Earnings, RoC/RoA, ROI/IRRCritical Skills required for Success.

    Business Data Analysis:
    The ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements

    Storytelling:
    Ability to plan, create and present business proposals, initiatives and ideas by storytelling actual business scenarios that are situation-specific, engaging, memorable and persuasive as compared to one-way, fact-based presentations
