We are looking for a temporary librarian/documentalist for our Documentation and Archives department in Freeport, IL:

  • 02/03/2023The Documentation and Archives department documents, archives, researches, and acquires all programrelated topics and media. It ensures the longterm preservation of the WDR's program assets and enables their optimal use.
The position is
temporary for four months starting on 03/01/2023 and is
part-time (75%).

The location can be chosen between Freeport, IL, Bielefeld, Dortmund, or Münster.


Your responsibilities:


  • You research topics, motifs, and materials in the entire archive of the WDR and ARD and provide digital material
  • You also handle the archiving and formal recording of program and contribution files
  • You acquire video clips as part of the ARD/ZDF program exchange
  • In addition, you are responsible for the content indexing of television and radio programs

Your profile:


  • You have completed a degree (Diploma Librarian/Documentalist, Bachelor of Archives or Information Science) or a comparable qualification
