    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    A Secretary Support Assistant performs clerical duties coordinates departmental communication and assists with departmental and selected patient care related activities. This position interacts with personnel of all ages.

  • Qualifications

    Minimum:

  • Course in medical terminology
  • Clear understanding of office procedures
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Unit Secretary in an acute care setting
  • Completion of a Unit Secretary training program preferred
  • Ability to type 35 wpm and have technical skills with word processing
  • American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
