    It's an amazing time to join us as CALM was just awarded a substantial $694,000 grant from the Department of Health Care Services to implement and scale Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) across Santa Barbara County This exciting opportunity affords CALM the resources to establish an 18-month learning collaborative for up to 18 therapists with dedicated time for training, consultation, and implementation of CPP and the ability to hire and train a new Clinical Supervisor in this modality and CALM's other evidence-based practices.

    What is Child Parent Psychotherapy? CPP is an intervention model for children aged 0-5 who have experienced at least one traumatic event (e.g.

    maltreatment, the sudden or traumatic death of someone close, a serious accident, sexual abuse, exposure to domestic violence) and/or are experiencing mental health, attachment, and/or behavioral problems, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

    Work for a mission driven organization committed to transparency, collaboration, and communication. CALM is looking for a driven and dedicated Senior Manager of Trauma-Treatment Programs to join its team.

    Based in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria or Lompoc, this integral role will provide countywide leadership and support for CALM in the areas of strategy, policy, evidence-based practices, quality control, and the development and implementation of trauma-treatment programs county-wide.

    Duties include providing program direction, staff supervision, contract and budget management, and program evaluation.

    The SMTTP oversees the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the department ensuring activities are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with CALM's mission and vision.

    Guide department priorities aligned with agency mission, strategic plans, and community needs, while identifying opportunities for county-wide expansion and growth.


    • Determine department structure, staff positions, levels, schedules, and workflow.
    • Supervise all department contracts, ensuring compliance with performance targets and requirements.
    • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of staff to cultivate a diverse and skilled workforce.
    • Establish and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure high standards of care including adherence to documentation standards and periodic assessment.
    • In collaboration with the Senior Manager of Clinical Advancement, support implementation of clinical standards, evidence-based practices, and adherence to regulations set forth by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
    • Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to maintain effective staff communication and manage accountability for performance expectations.
    • Monitor program outcomes and evaluate program effectiveness to inform decision-making and drive continuous quality improvement.
    • Complete written reports and contribute to grant writing efforts.
    • Ensure ethical/legal standards for clinical practice, including the proper maintenance of client files and the use of Electronic Health Records.
    • Promptly respond to and resolve client complaints or grievances.
    • Represent CALM and the Trauma-Treatment Department at meetings, community events, and conferences.
    • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for self, clients, employees, and community members in collaboration with the DCO and HR.
    • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders.
    • Other duties or projects as assigned.

    Clinical Training & Advancement Opportunities, including certifications in evidence-based modalities:
    Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

    CALM offers a $1-3/hour bilingual stipend to employees that use a second language.

    5 + years of professional clinical experience and 3+ years of management experience.

    • Minimum of two years' experience providing clinical supervision.
    • familiarity with government funding sources/reimbursement.
    • Training and experience in CALM's core modalities preferred (e.g., Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
