While we wait

Many of us sit at home trying to work, shifting our plans from week to week as rules change. Each day getting up and determining what we might be able to achieve. All the while we wait. We wait to be told something that helps. There are more than two sides to this story but in truth we simply wait.

Yes each person has their method of adjusting to the events surrounding them. Some complain, others encourage. Many stress while others hide there heads in the sand. Those who have the option go about business as usual making the most of each day. Each of us making our choices based on the situation and influences surrounding us, while we wait.

Each day the sun rises in the east bringing with it a new opportunity to adjust and succeed, or fail. Our attitudes are tested, some days more than others. We listen to the ideas of others, some we promote while others we brush off. Each sun rise we search for news or actively ignore it. While we wait the sun keeps rising.

Friends gather carefully, sharing ideas and promoting one answer or another. They discuss the conflicts they perceive and the lack of direction that is offered. We tell jokes and drink but all the while we wait. We wait for the world to make sense again. We wait for the answers to actually be answers instead of simply adding to the confusion. We wait for people to start acting like people. Regardless of where we live or what we believe, we wait.

While we wait let's take the time to ponder. Not about the problems we cannot solve but instead about the ones we can. Encourage a friend or a stranger. Offer a smile (harder with a mask) or and encouraging word. Put your amazing skills to the test to see how you can benefit the lives of others while they wait.

While we wait we can act, we can help, we can prosper. The sun rises each day and we can rise with it.

Blessings!

Ken Boddie In this situation the "doing" is to think so our actions are more fruitful. Perhaps. Though indeed idle hands do tend to get into trouble. Have an amazing day Ken!

I can’t stand waiting or queues, Greg. I prefer doing something rather than waiting. I guess patience is a virtue I don’t have, but, there again, idle hands do the devil’s work. Saw this the other day: “What do we want - patience! When do we want it - now!” 🤣😂🤣
