Use Your Voice Wisely

c60a617f.jpgSocial media is powerful.  We know this.  We hear it so much we dont even think about it any more.

Social media gives one a voice who may not have had one before.  It is so much easier to write your thoughts or comments behind a computer than if you had to do so face to face or in a group.  (Introverts Unite!!)

Even just one platform (let's say beBee in this example) can do so much to get your voice heard in a sea of thousands.

You read an article or post, you speak your mind, make a comment and hit post. Boom.  Everyone you know or who follows you sees it.  All your friend's friends and their friends and so on may see it.  Someone replies and you respond. Double Boom.  You have now created a mini-wave in the virtual world of communication.

It can be a good thing or a bad thing to be able to post whatever come out of your virtual mouth so easy.  Sometimes there are no filters and it doesnt matter, really.  People will read and understand whatever they want into what you post no matter how clear you write it.

Your voice on any one social media platform can turn thousands against you or thousands to follow you on what you want to say.  Your voice can be an advocate for those that cant stand up for themselves.  Your voice can honor those that you respect and it can be just as sharp to harm.

Use  your voice with care and thought--you never know when that will come back to you in one fashion or another.

Use your voice wisely
