This too shall pass

While we all realize that all our current issues will pass whether we are referring to Covid 19 or any other current problem but these moments create a genuine opportunity. These moments create an opportunity to evaluate just where we have planted our feet. These moments make us evaluate just what we depend on during our moments of stress.

Are we looking for solace in our work, family, God, or just what? Each of us looks for answers and search for direction when our plans are shifted or thrown off-kilter by events beyond our control. Very few people see these times as a moment to relax or pause but instead as a time to double down on the effort to find a workable solution.

So what did you depend on? Where did you go for your solace? What answers did you look for? The answers to these question will tell you more about you than any success ever will. The great part of this is as we evaluate these answers we will begin to see just how we actually think which in turn will guide us to better knowledge on how to move forward. Move forward you might ask, move forward to where?

A better understanding of yourself. If you believe that you depend on family for your comfort and that they are what truly matter, but found that you spent extra time in the office, what does that say? Sure you can justify your actions but don't justify them look at them. If you believe that you depend on God for your peace but found that you are or were filled with fear, what does that say? Again do not justify, but instead evaluate. These events are great tools to help us learn what we actually think and what we truly believe. Take advantage of it.

Now if you are truly one of the few that looks at events that are out of their control and simply relax on the ride to see where it will take you, all I have to say is wow! You do not waste energy or time on what you cannot control but wait until once again you can see or understand how to act in a positive manner to guide your “re-entry”. I am not there yet. Which also says a lot.

This too shall pass and we will all stand on the other shore. So take a moment to evaluate just how you are handling your current crises. So that in the future when yet another non-planned event tosses your carefully crafted schedule out the window you are ready.

Have a very blessed day and a fantastic week!
