I found this on the Internet a while ago -- it is NOT my creation. I just cleaned it up and thought my readers might enjoy it.聽

If anyone knows who did create it, please let me know. I would like be sure that creative person gets credit.聽

The Parts of Speech Poem Every name is called a noun, As field and fountain, street, and town In place of noun the pronoun stands, As he and she can clap their hands The adjective descnbes a thi As magic wand or bridal ring The verb means action, something done, As read and write and jump and run How things are done the adverbs tell, As quickly, slowly, badly, well The preposition shows relation, As in the street or at the station Conjunctions join in many ways, Sentences, words, of phrase and phrase The interjection cries out, “Hark!
