The FINAL Friday Funday of 2017!

REASONS | NEED COFFEE:

It tastes like hopes and dreams

Caffeine perks me up

Other people talk to me in the morning

Jails a real thing

It's difficult to work if eyes are closed

It helps me mimic socially acceptable behavior.

Strangers stare if you forget to put pants on

OK, who stole 2017? Wasn't it just 2010 a week or two ago? And do you remember the hoopla of 1999 turning into 2000? Wasn't that just a few years ago?

There's a lot of truth in the saying that we need to live in the present; it goes by so darned fast! We should laugh, live, and love!

So, focusing on the first of the Ls ... laugh ... let's ring out the old year with these beauties, the first four of which come from Dave Tinson, who is an LI connection and finds seriously good stuff.

The first two seemed destined to be together, as do the third and fourth!

The picture below comes from a friend, Jim Saelzer, and it sure looks like the front of the kitten that I featured in last week's Friday Funday post!

Oh, and that bottle above the header? Because New Year's Eve is imminent, I wanted to buy some champagne. This is my picture of what I didn't buy ... I figured if they didn't know what style it was, I wasn't going to take a chance. (And I laughed so hard, I had other customers taking a couple of steps backwards -- away from me.)聽

I hope you have the happiest of New Year's celebrations, and that we all continue to enjoy our connections around the world in the coming new year -- 2018!

Actually, Renée 🐝 Cormier, I'm likely to be dancing with my two pups, if they'll agree. I don't usually go out on New Year's -- but I do enjoy a glass (or three) of champagne. Happy New Year to you, and thanks for your support for my posts!

Life sure does move quickly, doesn't it, ? Every time I realize what an old broad I am, I'm amazed. Wasn't I just 30 or 40 a couple of years ago? Sigh. Happy New Year, and thanks for supporting my posts!

It's funny how we sometimes don't see it the way others do, isn't it, Lisa 🐝 Gallagher, and then, WHAM! We do. And we can't unsee it. Happy New Year, and thanks for your continued support for my posts.

Could be that I missed something there, John Rylance, but if the label maker could just make up his/her mind . . . Happy New Year to you and yours!

Great find with the Champagne! Er, dry, semi dry, buyer decide! I admit, I'm a bit slow at times and I had to look at the 4 deg symbol for a while. Okay, I got it, now that IS funny! Enjoyed them all Susan 🐝 Rooks, the Grammar Goddess, thanks and happy 2018!

Every time I see an apostrophe being misused I鈥檓 tempted to ask Boy George if it鈥檚 a comma chameleon. Talking of neulogisms, could a Roman column be a newspaper article regularly contributed by a single male sculler? Looking forward to many more Friday Fundays in 2018, Susan. 馃
Happy New Year!

Re the Champagne. I think it's based on the comments of the wine taster. The aroma suggests a unpretentious semi dry while the taste is of a robust very dry Champagne, leaving a pleasing crisp tang on the tongue. See what you missed. Happy New Year.
And thanks so much, Lupita 🐝 Reyes! I wish the same for you and yours.
