The Bumblebee does the Impossible Everyday

The first play that I was every was in first grade. It in had the theme of insects. My costume was a dragonfly. It was made from long underwear, a bathing cap, and some decorated wings. I was so happy because I made it myself. I also had a speaking part, but what I remember the most was the song called "BEES".

The lyrics began:

"Bees, Bees, Bees, Bees...

Buzzing in the bushes, they're buzzing in trees...

Buzzing around, wherever they please...

There is nothing so sweet as a Honey BEE."

I have always been fascinated with Bees for the fact that they could do the impossible. THEY CAN FLY.

In Richard Branson’s “The Virgin Way”, he tells a brilliant little story about the Bumblebee. For decades scientists have been stumped by the Bumblebee. When you take into account the size of the body compared to the size of the wing span, the Bumblebee on all accounts should NOT be able to fly. It is a scientific impossibility. Then Branson’s goes on to say that up until this very day, not one scientist has ever been able to explain that to a Bumblebee.

Don’t listen to people who use the word impossible. They live a shallow life and will never reap the rewards of amazing breakthroughs, innovative new ideas and groundbreaking discoveries. Onto the future we march, into the crazy unknown.

I, myself, have lived most my life with seizures: unable to drive, not able to care for my child unattended, awakening in unknown places and more. I've had people looking at my life in awe like a Bumblebee.

This little belief in the impossible was inspiration for me. If a little bee can do the impossible than so can I. I now have my own family, my own home, my own business despite my condition. Still there are those who wonder and try to put science to me like these Bees. Still trying to figure out my brain.

ANYTHING you try for the first time is going to be hard, don’t let that discourage you. This helps me realize that nothing always happens the way it is suppose to. Your plan is going to fail at so point in life. Things are going to change. Don’t focus on building a bullet proof plan. Yet, have a big end goal and be very flexible in how you’re going to get there. Don’t be surprised when things go to $&%!, and use change as an advantage. For example, when I first started to market in my own business, I though I had everything down and the perfect plan. Then smart phones were invented which changed everything I did. I eventually had to change ship, while staying on course.

To be safe don’t assume you “deserve” anything. Give more, care more, and don’t expect anything return. Giving is a much better feeling than receiving anyway. You want to live a life of giving and never try to determine what you deserve from that giving. You will get yours in due time.

Become like a Bee, and Do the Impossible. "Fly" and reach your Dream, what ever it is.

Remember your dreams and fight for them. You must know what you want from life. There is just one thing that makes your dream become impossible: the fear of failure. Virtually nothing is impossible in this world if you just put your mind to it and maintain a positive attitude.
