Don't Worry About Mistakes

Don't Worry About Mistakes

c190ff60.jpg

It’s a rainy day here Modesto. On the way to the college there were parked cars with water up to their bumpers and a tire floating in the street. Maybe I should get a canoe! With the drought California has been having it’s good to see this much rain. Hopefully this is a signal that things are getting better.

I saw a math tutor who helped me a lot last semester. He told me I should brush op on my math before the new semester starts. Since I’m taking pre-calculus, he’s probably right. This last road trip set me back on my class schedule. But like that song I used to listen to when I was a kid by the Beatles says, “Life Happens When You’re Busy Making Plans.”

I was reading a newsletter earlier. The lady writing was Terri Cole. Her article was about playing and free time. What I thought was interesting was the part about how kids just do things to occupy their time and don’t worry about making mistakes and more adults need to make time to do the something they like.

I realized that’s what I’ve been doing writing in my blog. If posting an article Linkedin didn’t like and getting booted from their platform was a mistake, I shouldn’t worry about it. It didn’t look like very many people even noticed me until I wrote about my Lakota Friends, at least not on Linkedin.

On that subject, I read in an article today someone walked up to the protesters at Standing Rock with an assault rifle and got arrested by the BIA. That’s Bureau of Land Management for all you guys who don’t know anyone from The Rez. I guess the My Lakota friends aren’t the only ones going to jail over the pipeline.

I hope this ends soon.
