A Little Food For Thought

A Little Food For Thought

“LET US MAKE ONE POINT- THAT WE MEET
EACH OTHEK WITH A SMILE. WHEN IT IS
DIFFICULT TO SMILE. SMILE AT EACH OTHEK,
MAKE TIME FOk EACH OTHER IN YOUK FAMILY.”

= MOTHER TERESA

Thanksgiving has come and gone once again here in the United States, and as I sit here contemplating yet another year gone by, this all too brief Holiday gives me food for thought.

I’m sure you're familiar with the term "six degrees of separation", where it  takes no more than six people to discover a link to someone you're related to in some way? Like it or not I propose it takes far fewer than a half dozen strangers gathered around a table to find someone you share intimate ties with.

Regardless of how we may feel, or act, or wish to be, we are all related, if by nothing more or less than the happenstance and virtue of being on this earth together at this very moment in our life. It’s either delightfully or horrifically clear that whether we intend to or not our thoughts and actions have a profound effect on each other.

It's sensible to me that we should all do our very best to treat one another with the respect and caring we would extend to a long lost family member and go out of our way to bring our best selves to the proverbial dinner table.

We’re all at this supper together so I humbly suggest that as we sustain ourselves during this feast of life that we give pause and  thought to being on our best behavior.

"It's sensible to me that we should all do our very best to treat one another with the respect and caring we would extend to a long lost family member and go out of our way to bring our best selves to the proverbial dinner table." And not just sensible. It's critical for our own happiness.
