    Senior Staff Accountant - Commercial Real Estate

    Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

    Location: Arlington, VA

    Office Situation: 100% in office initially, then possibly after 6 months move to a hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home)

    Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant:

    • Accounts Payable (AP) in Yardi:
      • Process reimbursements through AP, including credit card reimbursements.
      • Conduct daily check runs for approved transactions.
    • Journal Entries:
      • Record journal entries accurately and promptly.
    • Account Reconciliations:
      • Reconcile approximately 140 checking accounts within the first 5 days of each month using Yardi.
      • Manage reconciliation of approximately 100 checking accounts through Yardi.
    • Cash Management:
      • Perform bank reconciliations for approximately 130 accounts per month.
      • Oversee daily cash activities, including report generation, data analysis, and making necessary journal entries for transfers, deposits, and related activities.
    • Financial Reporting:
      • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
      • Learn and understand complex entity structures to facilitate accurate reporting.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
    • Yardi experience required
    • 2+ years of work experience in the Commercial Real Estate Industry
    • Understanding of cash management with related journal entries
    • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
    • Experience with cash management/treasury management/bank account wires and transfers/banking relationships
