    Description

    Role: Medical Malpractice Paralegal

    Pay: $75,000-$80,000 – could flex up to $85K for someone senior

    Working Hours: 37.5-hour work week, flexible start times between 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM

    Bonuses: Twice a year plus an annual end-of-year bonus

    Billable Hours: 1450 hours annually. Exceeding this requirement may result in additional bonuses.

    Location: Portland, OR - Hybrid - 3 days WFH

    LHH is seeking a dedicated full-time med/mal paralegal to join our client's team on a hybrid schedule in Portland, OR.

    Not interested in seeing people that come from worker's comp.

    Plaintiff's side of med/mal experience is acceptable subject to conflict clearance.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a med/mal paralegal at a law firm.
    • Proficient in trial preparation and participation.
    • Strong understanding of medical terminology.
    • Medical chronologies and medical record review
    • Skilled in document management, including organizing medical records, handling discovery, and collaborating with experts.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment.
    • Handle all discovery
    • Preparing for depositions – medical record review

    Benefits:

    • Life Insurance: Coverage is 2x salary plus $10,000.
    • Dependent Coverage: 60% paid by the firm. HRA available with deductible reimbursement. FSA options for medical and dependent care.
    • Retirement: 401K eligibility immediately upon contribution, with a safe harbor employer contribution of 3% of total compensation and discretionary profit-sharing after 1 year of service and 1000 hours worked.
