Under direct supervision of the Clerical Supervisor - using detailed instructions, policies, and procedures the scheduler makes appointments for patients for Imaging Procedures.

Schedules all Imaging Services patient procedures by completing the questions required by each modality and transferring to MEDITECH. Completes and distributes the necessary paperwork to appropriate departments. Works closely with both front office and technical staff, completing pre-admission registration.

Promotes positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians and coworkers, demonstrating teamwork to ensure excellent patient care and positive comments from all concerned parties.

Is proficient in required competencies. Registers patients in a pleasant, professional, and timely manner. Handles all routine patient inquiries related to the registration process. Ensures all necessary demographic and financial data is obtained and accurately records into the MS4 system. Identifies appropriate payor source and verifies eligibility. Collects appropriate deposits from patients.

Required Qualifications:


  • One (1) year Hospital Patient Access Registrar experience in Main, or ER, or experience in medical field/radiological scheduling that included Registration and/or insurance verification.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare.
  • One (1) year experience in scheduling radiographic procedures.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
