- Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff.?
- Create, recruit, and secure indoor and outdoor events including but not limited to weddings, conferences, camps, conventions, private business meetings, etc. utilizing all HOFV properties.
- Seek out new business through strategic positioning in local and national markets.
- Lead the longterm event sales and execution strategy to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Build rapport with local, regional, and national event industry contacts, governing bodies, and relevant organizations.
- Work closely with other key HOFREco divisions including youth sports, media, gaming, and hotel sales teams to ensure maximization of event revenue.
- Assist other event directors with their efforts to maximize attendance, engage guests, and attract business sponsors as needed.
- Develop successful client relationships to ensure longterm patronage.
- Collaborate group sales strategies in conjunction with private events.
- Develop and manage a seamless event execution process with the support of relevant internal departments.
- Develop and execute annual event marketing and advertising plan including generating sales leads through phone and email outreach.
- Complete the booking process from reservation to event completion.
- Respond in a timely manner to calls, inquiries, and emails.
- Maintain comprehensive records and accounting.
- Attend networking events and trade shows as needed.
- Accurately and diligently maintain records and track customers and prospects through CRM.
- Supervision of assigned staff, assuming daytoday responsibilities for personnel related matters that include but are not limited to:
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree required; preferably in hospitality management, communications, or a sales-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of event sales and execution experience required, preferably in a professional sports, sports tourism, or hospitality environment.
- Previously supervisory experience highly desired.
- Strong relationships within Northeast Ohio business, hospitality, and event community desired.
- Strong team skills and the ability to collaborate in a fastpaced environment; must possess a strong ability for effective time management and task prioritization.
- Must have experience with strategic and complex opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.?
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary) is required.
- Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and events.

The
Senior Director of Private Event Sales and Service
is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of event spaces, related services, as well as managing the private and organizational events business line at the Hall of Fame Village, a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (
NASDAQ:
HOFV, HOFVW).
This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Global Campus Events and will lead the private events team.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
o Most common bookings include special events in areas such as the stadium club, sky terrace, luxury suites, stadium, Constellation Center for Excellence, and Center for Performance.
o Complete annual performance reviews for all supervised staff.
o Provide continuous feedback, supervision, and coaching to all supervised staff.
o Formal discipline supervised staff in conjunction with Human Resources.
o Create and maintain schedule, assignments, and attendance.
o Approve time clocks and make adjustments as needed.
o Respond in a timely manner to calls, texts, inquiries, and emails.
o Enforce uniform protocol.
