**Description**
The Bilingual Caf Manager is responsible for coordination, supervision, and management of all food service and other Nutrition Program sponsored activities at the Brentwood Caf in Contra Costa County. The Caf Manager positions must be filled by paid staff and is supervised by the Nutrition Program Coordinator or other agency personnel approved by the Program Director.
Candidate must be bilingual and able to speak Spanish.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
Supervises/Monitors all aspects of food handling and serving at a C.C. Caf, ensuring that food service procedures and practices are in full compliance with the California Retail Food Code and Program Policies and Procedures.
Orders and verifies receipt of meals from the County designated caterer in accordance with Program Policies and Procedures, including timely preparation and submission of reports which verify meals receipt and service (i.e. Meal Charge Slips NP 50 for caf and MOW, Daily Foodservice Report - form NP-36, Weekly Reports form NP 39). Also responsible for submitting the Summary of Income and Deposits (twice/month), the monthly Nutrition Site Report (CDA 187) and NAPIS forms for all new participants, and other reports and documentation as may be required.
Has primary responsibility for the cleanliness and proper sanitation of the Caf or designated caterer or those portions of the facility utilized for Senior Nutrition Program participants and staff (food service area and dining area
Inventories and orders supplies and paper goods in the manner prescribed by the Nutrition Program Coordinator.
Performs community outreach activities to reach new audiences and hosts themed meals at the Caf to increase participant engagement and retention.
Contacts Senior Nutrition Program office regarding equipment or equipment repairs as
Has primary responsibility for the cleanliness, proper sanitation, and safeguard of all Senior Nutrition Program equipment and supplies assigned to the Caf, as well as meal service and transport equipment provided through the caterer.
Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers in food handling techniques, record keeping, and other Caf operations functions.
Utilizes senior citizen participant volunteers to the fullest extent possible in performing routine functions (i.e. food service, clean-up, daily attendance, income count, etc.).
Defines volunteer tasks to be performed and assigns specific duties to individual volunteers.
Responsible for the safeguard and reporting of participant Meal Income Contributions and Non-Senior Meals Fees, in accordance with State and Federal regulations and Program Policies and Procedures.
Checks meal counts for all Meals on Wheel routes, signs NP 50 forms from caterer, updates, and places route sheets and other information in Meals on Wheels route book: contacts missing volunteers and Volunteer Coordinator to arrange pick-up.
Other duties as assigned.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**

Must be Bilingual Spanish.
**Education/Experience**
One year of experience supervising or managing program operations with an equivalent combination of experience in the following:

+ working with and training volunteers preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
**Certificates/Licenses/Clearances**
Possession of valid California motor vehicle license to operate company vehicle.
