Description

Coordinate the development and implementation of the corporate business continuity planning process. Serve as subject matter expert for the corporation and is responsible for aiding business units and functional areas in protecting the organization, mitigating exposure and helping ensure critical operations can continue or are resumed efficiently in the event of a business interruption. Serve as a technical expert for development, maintenance and operation of the automated enterprise notification system and business continuity software.
Manage, plan, schedule and facilitate the annual "live" tests of computer systems, facilities and business continuity plans, as well as plan, schedule and facilitate tabletop exercises of business continuity and IT plans and summarizing results to ensure follow-up items are completed.
Provide input and assistance to the department manager in the monitoring and tracking of expenses for the business continuity budget in order to ensure financial objectives are met.

Skills

Bachelor's Degree or 7-10 years of experience in business continuity
Proficiency with PC windows based software, including Microsoft products, Excel and word applications
Strong oral and written communications skills, including outstanding interpersonal and consultative skills
Demonstrate a high level of administrative competence and excel in analyzing and adjusting organization procedures for maximum efficiency
Knowledge of best practices in the field of business continuity and recovery, as well as experience with software tools for business continuity planning
Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage projects and priorities effectively
