Job Title: Server

Compensation: $16.00/hour + Estimated tips ($ $240.00/shift)

Status: Part-Time
Training Location: South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, CA), Del Amo Fashion Center (Torrance, CA), The Shops at Santa Anita (Arcadia, CA)

Restaurant Location: Downtown Disney Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802 (RESTAURANT OPENING SUMMER 2024)

About Us:

Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings, each made by hand with our "Golden Ratio" of 18 folds. Originally founded in Taiwan as a cooking oil retail business in 1958, Din Tai Fung was reborn as a dumpling and noodle restaurant in 1972. Since its founding, Din Tai Fung has become world-renowned for its quality, standardization, and service. It currently has over 170 locations worldwide, including 14 US locations in California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada.

About the Role:
Servers are responsible for directly servicing assigned tables while assisting with Runner and Busser functions. Servers are responsible for taking food and beverage orders while providing personalized, exemplary service for their assigned tables.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

Takes, confirms, and inputs into the POS all food and drink orders
Runs beverages and ginger settings to the tables in a timely manner
Regularly pre-buss tables and anticipates the guests' needs
Packs leftovers and prepares takeout orders for dine-in guests
Collects and runs payments on the POS accurately and securely
Assists adjacent servers
Completes Server Side Work and Runner Side Work
- Monitors that all Closing Side Work is completed when assigned as a closer
Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
Attends monthly staff meetings and Server meetings

Supporting Functions:

Maintains a cheerful, friendly and welcoming demeanor to all guests and co-workers
Keeps all Front of House areas clean, organized and sanitized
Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
Assists with regular deep cleaning of the restaurant
Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP's").
