Job Type: Contract-to-hire

Worksite Location: Willing to consider fully remote candidates yet would prefer candidates local to Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Occasional travel less than 25%, strongly preferred. Candidates must be able and willing to work flexible hours, covering CST and EST time zones.

Salary Conversion Target/Budget: Based on experience and credentials, up to $160,000 + bonus potential

Overview:

Vaco is seeking a skilled and accomplished ERP Manager that will be responsible for leading a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations & Supply Chain Management) enterprise landscape for a client based in the manufacturing and environmental services industry. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within the manufacturing and/or supply chain industry, along with hands-on managerial experience in coaching, leading, and directing team members across performance management and succession planning. This role will serve as a liaison between (8) lines of business and IT teams by facilitating communication and determining software objectives that align with business needs. This role identifies, defines, and documents business processes and software requirements, and is key to championing the EPR product across the enterprise to ensure business adoption and efficient utilization. This role represents business needs and priorities, prioritizes, and manages the product backlog, and incorporates feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement.

Job Scope & Responsibilities:

Primary areas of responsibility and alignment will vary depending on the needs of the enterprise, yet could include:

• Managing an ERP team of 5-6+ direct reports, including responsibilities that cover employee and consultant performance management, succession planning, and team member and resource project allocation needs.
  • Working in collaboration with globally disperse teams, coordinating projects and adhering to an evolving enterprise landscape
• Leading enterprise implementations, integrations, and migrations from merger & acquisition activity, to include the functional design, maintenance, and governance of D365 Finance & Operations Solutions, with specific focus on:
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance: includes functionality for GL, AP, AR, Tax, Bank Management, Audit, Fixed Assets and Budgets
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management: D365 SCM app includes Purchasing, Quality, Inventory Production, Production Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Transportation, Order Management, and Service Management
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations (formerly Dynamics 365 Finance project management and accounting module and Project Service Automation). Functionality included is Project Contracts, Project Pricing, Project Accounting, Project Billing, Project Management, Practice Management, Resource Management and Project Staffing
• Working with line of business leaders to better understand business needs and identify process improvements and solutions to meet business needs.
• Working with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories and manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
• Partnering with line of business leaders to influence adoption of the product platform offerings for streamlined process efficiency and utilization across the enterprise.
• Maximizing the value of the product by assuming the product owner role. Defining the product goal and functioning as the overall custodian of the product backlog.
• Following Agile methodology and participating in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog refinement, and team retrospectives; ensuring the team has a clear understanding of priorities, road map, and project initiatives.
• Working closely with development and technical teams to create acceptance criteria
• Assisting teams on the development of feature tests, test cases, and regression tests
• Working with business stakeholders on user acceptance testing and setting expectations with business stakeholders for delivery or new features, functionality and capabilities
• Working closely with Project Managers and project teams to improve Agile best practices by identifying gaps and establishing process improvements.

• At minimum of 8-10 years of experience in specializing in enterprise ERP systems, specifically with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Supply Chain Management.
• At least 3-5 years of managerial experience, directly leading, coaching and managing teams of IT professionals.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
• Prior experience in designing and implementing business solutions together with integrations and migrations of ERP and related enterprise systems
• Technical certifications a strong plus, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner, or relevant Microsoft ERP Certifications
• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Hands-on experience utilizing Azure DevOps.
• Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
• Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation, use case, story and acceptance criteria.
