- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients admitted to the Neuro ICU, including neurological exams, monitoring vital signs, and evaluating neurological status.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as CT scans, MRIs, and EEGs, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide specialized treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatment and make adjustments to care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical principles, and regulatory requirements governing advanced practice nursing.
