The Orenda Center of Wellness outpatient services program is currently hiring for our Transitional Living Services program.

We are looking for direct care technicians (DCT) that will work with our male clientele located at the Male Supportive Living residence in downtown Frederick.

This program provides housing and substance use treatment for up to eight men at a time transitioning into outpatient services and daily life.

The DCT will be responsible for ensuring client safety at the house, monitoring medication times, providing transportation with our company van, conducting urine screens, providing daily check ins, composing accurate and detailed shift notes/reports, ensuring the upkeep and community cleanliness of the house, and assisting men with day-to-day tasks as well as some case management services.

This position will report directly to the Direct Care Manager as well as require everyone to have team approach and work ethic.

Ability to adapt and adjust to change quickly will be needed as well as the ability to make proper decisions in the moment related to client care and safety.

Experience in the field of addictions and/or mental health services is _preferred_ but not required. Training and shadow shifts are provided upfront as well as by request throughout the course of employment.

:8:00a to 4:00p
Evenings
:3:30p to 11:00p
Overnights
:10:30p to 8:30a
Weekends
: 7a to 4p / 3:30 to 11p / 10:30p to 7:30a

Job Requirements & Minimum Skills_

_


  • GED or high school diploma
  • Clean driving record
  • Not currently on probation or parole
  • Not enrolled in any treatment or sober living facilities for the past 90 days
  • Insurable on company insurance _must provide proof of active current auto coverage policy_
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screening
  • Experience working in mental health, substance use or medical field.

  • Flexibility with hours and workload responsibilities
  • Ability to follow preset schedules and have good time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Passion for helping others
  • Basic computer and smart phone skills
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
