Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Allyn, WA

Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Allyn, WA. As an SLP in our school district, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language services to students with munication disorders, articulation difficulties, language delays, and other related impairments. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to assess students' needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to support their munication skills and academic success.

Responsibilities:

Conduct prehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and munication abilities to identify areas of need and develop appropriate intervention plans.
Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, including articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency therapy, and social munication skills training.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students' progress towards their munication goals.
Monitor students' progress, collect data on their performance, and adjust intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outes.
Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers and staff on strategies for promoting speech and language development, fostering munication skills, and creating a supportive learning environment for all students.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other documentation in pliance with state and federal regulations.
Stay informed about current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology, and participate in professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Educational Requirements:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Certifications:

Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Valid Washington state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting.
Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative munication (AAC) systems and assistive technology devices.
Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
