- Performs duties as ISSM for the 480 ISRW and direct reporting units
- Ensures the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for networks, systems, applications, and databases under their purview, as defined in the appointment letter
- Ensures the program is maintaining the appropriate operational security posture
- Oversees and validates all tasks accomplished by the ISSO team members
- Implements the Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology to successfully maintain an information technology process which shall effectively protect the element's information assets and its ability to securely perform its mission
- Functions as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of Information Systems (IS)
- Ensures physical and environmental protection measures are coordinated with appropriate security officials
- Ensures Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements are met
- Ensures reporting data and IT security records are current and maintained in the system of record
- Attends required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management) relative to assigned duties
- Reports all security-related incidents as applicable to 480 ISRW security office, Operations Crew Commander(s), and the 480th ISR Wing's government contracts representative
- Ensures changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system accomplished by ISSOs are authorized by CCB and approved by the Designated Accreditation Officer (DAO) prior to changes being implemented
- Collaborates with the Program Managers, AF Intelligence Community Information Assurance Program Managers, ISSOs, Cyber Defense teams, and configuration managers to maintain an effective risk assessment process
- Ensures all available resources are monitored for warnings of system vulnerabilities or ongoing attacks
- Ensures periodic testing is conducted to evaluate the security posture of ISs by employing various intrusion and attack detection and monitoring tools (shared responsibility with ISSOs)
- Plan and schedule Information Systems security inspections, tests, and reviews and report finding to Government lead(s)
- Ensures data stewardship (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) is established for each IS, and specific requirements are enforced
- Implement an effective IS security education, training, and awareness program for all personnel
- Ensures compliance with DoD 8570 requirements for IA personnel assigned to the Wing and Groups
- Functions as a principal advisor to the 480th ISR Wing's DAO on all matters, technical and otherwise, and supports the development of policies and procedures for Wing and requirements involving the security of IS
- Clearance: TS/SCI
- Minimum of six (6) years' IA experience
- Possess IAM Level II CISSP certification
