Position Overview:

Craft Machine is seeking a skilled Laser CMM Specialist to join our team. The Laser CMM Specialist will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser coordinate measuring machines to ensure the accuracy and precision of measurements for manufactured components. This role requires expertise in laser metrology, CMM operations, and the ability to interpret technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Operate laser coordinate measuring machines to perform accurate and precise dimensional measurements of manufactured components
• Set up and calibrate laser CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
• Develop and execute measurement programs using CMM software to meet quality control requirements
• Analyze measurement data and generate detailed reports to verify component conformance to specifications
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and implement corrective actions
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laser CMM equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy
• Maintain documentation and records of measurement results, equipment maintenance, and calibration activities
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and procedures throughout the measurement process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, metrology, quality assurance, or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a Laser CMM Specialist or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Expertise in laser metrology techniques and CMM operations
• Proficiency in CMM software for programming and executing measurement programs
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in analyzing measurement data and identifying deviations
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles and practices
• Experience with quality assurance processes and procedures
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Stamina to perform detailed measurements and inspections for extended periods
• Visual acuity and attention to detail for analyzing measurement data and identifying deviations
