- Create successful recruitment campaigns designed to promote interest and will significantly increase membership and revenue.
- Create successful campaigns designed to retain at least 90-95% of members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors, board committee, and regional chapter chairs.
- Execute all decisions of the president, Board of Directors, and board committee and all contracts and commitments authorized by the association.
- Formulate and recommend modifications to existing policies and assist in forming new policies to further the mission and goals of the organization.
- Create an annual proposed budget and monitor and administer the final budget approved by the Board of Directors.
- Work closely with the association's lobbyists, testify before legislative bodies, meet with legislators and staff, and give media interviews to promote the organization's legislative agenda, mission, and purpose.
- Oversee the development of and write articles for the newsletters.
- Work with finance departments to meet financial goals.
- Ensure the organization is in full compliance with all laws and regulations.
- Make presentations to outside organizations designed to form alliances and increase membership.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- 7-10 years as executive director/president or vice president role, including responsibility for membership recruitment and retention.
- Previous experience with the Design and execution of successful membership retention and recruiting campaigns.
- Creation and administration of annual budgets.
- Knowledge of association investment management.
- Association spokesperson including presenting testimony before legislative committees and giving media interviews.
