Summary:
- In alignment with Novartis company strategy to 'Embrace Operational Excellence' and the Novartis Business Services
- Real Estate & Facility Services strategy, the purpose of this role is to facilitate the implementation of the Global HSE Strategy by providing technical expertise and guidance to regional and site management in all Novartis organizations in the EMEA/Asia/Americas region. Oversees HSE support, programs and initiatives in EMEA/Asia/Americas region as well as providing global support on various HSE topics and programs/Biosafety/Radiation Safety/Environment/Technical Safety/PiE & Waste Water/Process Safety management To provide expertise in a specialized aspect of Health Safety Environment to the business and advice to ensure adherence to legal and Company internal documents in HSE on site for internals, externals
About the Role:
Major accountabilities:
- Keep track of the legislation and regulations in Health Safety and Environment HSE experts at Divisional or site level, responsible for key HSE activities including e.g. data managementin a Division or support for project management activities in Group or a Division.
- Identify, assess and document Health Safety and Environment risks to the employees and third parties at work (analysis of work areas) and recommend the necessary technical, Organization and personal protective measures in collaboration with the superior.
- Coordinate or introduce necessary Health Safety and Environment measurements in the work areas and monitor the implementation of the protective measures necessary on the basis of the work area analyses.
- Supports incident root cause investigations.
- Define Health Safety and Environment training requirements according to risks and provide appropriate coaching for the employees and advise the superiors on issues of Health Safety and Environment Collect necessary data/information and report to Global Health Safety and Environment To assist Site Head/s in ensuring HSE compliance as per country legislations and Novartis HSE policy, guidelines, guidance notes and programs in respective responsibility.
- To assist the Safety Equipment controller to select, control, monitor and maintain all aspects of respiratory and personal protective equipment on site.
- To advise project teams regarding detailed, functional system operation, Fire Fighting and Alarm System commissioning and integration.
- To manage all aspects of system testing and servicing as required by Company and Statutory requirements.
- Experts in a specialized aspect of Facilities & Admininistration providing technical expertise and advice tothe business.
- May have responsibility for results of small team within one location.

- Delivery of quality, timely and accurate information, advice & training Efficient managements of resources, equipment and workload to meet site requirements Ensure emergency response procedures are in placed and tested To be the first point of contact for project teams regarding fire alarm/system operation
