Summary:
Our BSA Compliance Analysts provide support to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer to ensure regulatory compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC rules and regulations and the banks BSA Program. As we add new Fintech / digital banking clients, we need this new team member who will regularly monitor deposit accounts and loans for compliance, and assist the BSA Officer in developing systems and procedures in order to ensure the operating success and effectiveness of our BSA approach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain comprehensive knowledge and a library of resources of all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) laws and regulations
With guidance from BSA Officer, assist in the monitoring and testing of compliance with regulations and rules
Perform and document due diligence and ongoing monitoring of deposit accounts and loans for compliance
Identification and tracking of suspicious activity through the generation and review of various reports of daily transactions for signs of any unusual or out of the ordinary customer activity
Adequately investigate and document suspicious activity for consideration by BSA Officer for reporting of a SAR
Support the accurate completion and timely filing of CTRs
Perform due diligence and monitoring of Fintech businesses and Banking as a Service providers
Support the Banks fraud prevention program and report suspected or known fraud and ethical issues
Qualifications/Required Skills:
Minimum 3 years of BSA Analyst working experience
Knowledge of banking regulatory agencies (FDIC, FFIEC, OCC) and bank regulatory governance
Must have working knowledge of banking operations, products, services, and understand organizational structure
Must have working knowledge of teller functions, transactions and processes
Must have excellent research skills and ability to design and conduct a systematic, objective, and critical investigation
Must have the ability to maintain an independence or autonomy similar to that of an auditor
Must possess verbal/written communication skills able to communicate tactfully with all levels of bank personnel showing consideration to support and provide solutions in dealing with team members
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, anti-money laundering alert software and bank core systems
