The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is located in Mebane, North Carolina. As a Fabrication Production Operator DS

Advanced, you will be responsible for supporting the business in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes within manufacturing.

Employees will correctly and safely use machinery and equipment on the shop floor, read and interpret the technical diagrams & instructions for the fabrication of components used in the assembly of products, systems, and panels.

Your responsibilitiesAdhere to all safety requirements and company policiesFabricates raw steel/copper to produce a finished product to the internal/external customer expectationsReads blueprints or similar documentation, then fabricates components to those specificationsUses various machines (Automated and/or Manual) to accomplish assigned tasksMaintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistenciesPerforms equipment preventative maintenance and performs basic repairs when neededInventories tools, parts, and supplies; reports need to supervisor as requiredPeriodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisorPerforms other related duties as assignedYour backgroundHigh school diploma or equivalent required and 5 years or experience operating automated punches, lasers, or robotic/NC press brakes in a fabrication department.

Trumpf, Salvagnini, Amada, Cincinnati, and Ehrt brands preferredExperience training others to operate fabrication equipmentAbility to use and interpret inspection tools - tape measure, calipers, and protractorAbility to read and interpret engineering bill of materials, machining drawings and modelsKnowledge of 6S - sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, and safetyKnowledge and use of necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Ability to use cranes, fork trucks, or other lifting devices, as neededAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 40lbsAbility to speak, read, and write the English Language and good communication skillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic instructionsBasic computer and mathematical skillsHand, eye coordination skills and use of both hands7 plus years of experience operating automated punches, lasers, or robotic/NC press brakes in a fabrication department.
