In the context of a succession plan, we are looking for a coding specialist (m/f/d) to join our team of medical documentation coding at our location in Geiger, AL. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Bethanien Hospital is a highly regarded specialist clinic in Solingen with a focus on lung diseases, allergology, and sleep and respiratory medicine.

We care for over 5000 inpatients and 3000 outpatients annually.

Our location in Solingen-Aufderhöhe is situated in a beautiful park-like area and is easily accessible from surrounding cities due to its proximity to the A3 and A46 highways.


Qualified and motivated - your profile as a coding specialist:

  • Ideally, you have completed training as a state-recognized health and nursing professional, as well as additional qualifications as a coding specialist or a successful completion of training in a medical profession
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office
  • You have experience working with the hospital information system M-KIS (an advantage)
  • You have an independent work style, team spirit, and social competence

Varied and diverse - your responsibilities as a coding specialist:

  • Complete recording of diagnoses (ICD), operations, and procedure codes (OPS)
  • Ensuring the quality of medical and nursing documentation
  • Ensuring timely and proper billing with health insurance companies
  • Processing of MD audit notifications, expert opinions, appeals, and dispute resolution procedures
  • Collaboration
