- Arranges shipping with various carriers paying close attention to cost
- Maintains high degree of attention to detail
- Receives deliveries and performs three-way match
- Maintains all necessary documentation
- Distributes packages within the company as required
- Tracks and maintains files of all goods shipped by preparing shipping reports for managers, including proof of deliveries
- Operates and maintains foam packaging system
- At times must investigate discrepancies and miscounts within the shipping dock area
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
- Knowledge of 6S and its purpose
- High School diploma or GED. Recommended one or more years of experience with inventory.
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Patience and tolerance for interruptions and reprioritization.
- Position requires fulfillment of all physical and written tasks related to Parts Receiving.
- Comprehend and comply with FAA requirements and procedures around receiving.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly area.
- Standard office equipment such as copier, printer, fax machine, calculator, phone and computer.
- Management of ERP (Quantum) and others as upgraded.
- Experience with MS Office Applications with a focus in Excel (or other computer software that may be necessary).
- Experience with packaging, shrink wrapping, shipping computers (e.g., FedEx and UPS), hoist, pallet jack and hand truck.
- Maintain Forklift License.
- Shift requires 40+ hours per week
