- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- 2-5 or more years of relevant experience in steel design and manufacturing, preferably in the Electric Utility Steel Pole Industry.
- An understanding of steel fabrication, welding procedures, connection design, and quality assurance in regard to the Products
- A working competency using PLS Pole design software.
- A working competency using AutoCAD or other drafting software
- Organizational and time management skills to ensure project schedules are maintained.

Insight Global's client is looking for a Civil Structural/Design Engineer to join their team. This company specializes in manufacturing steel poles and structures for the Electric Utility Industry for Substation and Transmission Applications. The Design Engineer will be responsible for structural analysis and design of steel structures (Products) to be manufactured, including Transmission Poles, Substation Dead-end Structures, Substation Static Poles, and Substation Equipment Support Structures. Please note that this is not a managerial or supervisory role. We are looking for someone who wants to get their hands dirty and is interested and willing to be doing the design work.
