The Department of Kinesiology () at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an Assistant Research Professor with expertise in the area of physical therapy and biomechanics for an exciting opportunity to establish a funded program of innovative research that focuses on topics such as biomechanics of pelvic floor function, and vocal performance and other interdisciplinary clinical issues. Expectations are that the successful candidate will develop and continue a funded and focused line of high-quality research (including data collection, analyses, publications, and presentations), that is extramurally supported. This position will also include a portion of time devoted to the clinical care of theatre students and personnel as part of a co-hire arrangement with the Penn State School of Musical Theatre.
We seek an energetic, creative, and collaborative colleague who is passionate about their work and the potential to build collaborations within and between the College of Health and Human Development and others, both internal and external to Penn State.
Requirements and Qualifications
The Assistant Research Professor should possess a terminal degree in Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or a related field by the appointment start date.
This is a non-tenure line, term appointment, with opportunities for renewal.
