The Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, tenured, or tenure-track position with a 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning September 1, 2024. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of professor, associate professor, or assistant professor depending on qualifications.The successful applicant will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession.
The Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M is recognized as one of the top petroleum engineering programs in the U.S. and is well known in the international oil and gas community. The department has 41 faculty members and over 470 students at its College Station campus and is ranked first in the undergraduate program and second in the graduate program by U.S. News & World Report. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art decarbonization lab equipped with cutting-edge facilities for reservoir characterization, fluid flow analysis, numerical modeling, and monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) technologies for carbon capture and storage.

Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline.
