    Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
    The Advising and Programming Coordinator will be responsible for:
    Advising & Coaching

    Serve as the primary advisor to the National Pan-Hellenic Council, including participation in the executive board, council, and sub-committee meetings.

    Provide one-on-one advising support to National Pan-Hellenic Council leadership.
    Provide coaching to a portfolio of 15-20 chapter presidents across all four governing councils.
    Guide council and chapter leaders in the planning and implementation of their programming.
    Oversee intake and recruitment processes.
    Act as the University liaison to chapter presidents and officers, including meetings with inter/national and local chapter representatives.
    Collaborate with alumni for the betterment of chapters.
    Program Coordination

    Oversee accountability and restorative justice programming and education for council and chapter leaders.
    Advise accountability boards for each council governing board in collaboration with the Graduate Assistant for Accountability
    Supervise 2-3 graduate students who advise council leaders.

    Collaborate with advising and programming team on educational programming related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; alcohol and other drug education; mental health and wellness; and sexual assault prevention.

    Provide leadership development training and teach credit-bearing courses for sorority/fraternity community leaders.
    Collaborate with the Advising and Programming team on major events like the Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Summit (Fall & Spring),

    IMPACT , Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Awards, and other significant programs.

    The Advising and Programming Coordinator is a twelve-month exempt staff position that reports to the Assistant Director of Advising and Programming.

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

    Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis, with 30 college creditsbeing equivalent to one year of experience.


    Experience:
    One (1) – two (2) years of professional experience in student affairs work in a university or equivalent setting.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Advising skills and fraternity/sorority life experience required.
    Demonstrated ability to work in a student life setting necessary.

    Salary Range:
    $58,000-64,000. Some evening and weekend work is required.

    Advising National Pan-Hellenic Council, including attending executive board and council meetings; individual meetings with student leaders from those councils; supervising up to 3 graduate students that are assigned to advising student leaders, including the Graduate Assistant for Accountability; and advising council intake and recruitment processes.

    Essential Duty/Responsibility (2): | Chapter coaching, including coaching ~15-20 chapter presidents and chapter leaders; meeting with chapter presidents monthly; serving as the University liaison to chapter presidents and officers; working collaboratively with alumni, graduate chapters, and inter/national organizations
